Muunne binders are made in my small sewing studio in Tampere, Ompelimo Harakanpesä. I provide repair and made-to-order sewing services in addition to welcoming customers for binder fittings and purchases.

In addition to myself, there's often a student doing their workplace learning unit at the studio, and a coupe of artists in the back room.

There are both samples for fitting and a small selection of ready to buy binders at the studio. You can try some on, ask questions, think out loud. If a standard size and model doesn't fit you, we can discuss the alterations you'd need and either place an order or have a think. You can come alone or with a partner/friend/family member!

A typical fitting process

When you come in, I'll usually greet you by saying "Hei! Mitäs siulle?", or "Hi, how can I help you?" once I realize we're speaking English. When you tell me you've come to try on binders, I'll ask if you know your size and measurements - you don't need to know! If you don't, I'll measure  ovet the top of your clothes around your body under your armpits and give you the likeliest sizes. If you've never out on a binder, I'll give you some pointers and help you identify if the size is correct. Once the fitting is done, I'll ask if you want to buy a binder or place an order.
